With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulysses Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulysses Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Klæboe's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Ulysses Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Klæboe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Julian Klæboe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sem Esperança's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Klæboe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Nogueira made a kick off. Sem Esperança's Dida de Azevedo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Conrado Barreto in the 54 minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Julian Klæboe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th match minute, Jaguas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sem Esperança would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
