Sem Esperança's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clóvis de Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Cascatinha United's Santos Fidensio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cássio do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Cascatinha United booed when Sem Esperança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Klæboe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Julian Klæboe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Cascatinha United's Geovanni Hoffmann got control of the ball when Julian Klæboe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Leite in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Clóvis de Senna made a precise shot to the right of Cássio do Vale. Sem Esperança's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis de Senna in the 25th minute of play. The Sem Esperança fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio do Vale should have stopped the shot. Cássio do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clóvis de Senna was the one to do the kick off. Leopoldo Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Sem Esperança got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Lira. In the 54th minute Téo Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Leite in the 56th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Téo Leite notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale. Cássio do Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal de Queirós got free with Cássio do Vale in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Sem Esperança from getting a goal against them. Cássio do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Téo Leite went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. Clóvis de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cascatinha United made a substitution. Jardel Trevisan replaced Santos Fidensio. Cássio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Leite in the 90th minute of play. The Sem Esperança fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cascatinha United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
