Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fred Torres started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ulysses Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Torres in the 7th minute of the match. If Fred Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Catalunha's zone, André Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Vale came out of the goal and André Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaguas FC's Ulysses Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Torres in the 21st minute of play. Fred Torres scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Barral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Belmiro Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulysses Barral. Jaguas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Belmiro Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 31st minute Adilson Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jaguas FC booed when FC Catalunha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Jaguas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Dantas came free, but Ulysses Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Jaguas FC got a freekick which was hit by César Rossi. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Nogueira made a kick off. Jaguas FC's Ulysses Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Jaguas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match, Fred Torres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulysses Barral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Jaguas FC's Ulysses Barral got control of the ball when Adilson Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Jaguas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Dantas came free, but Ulysses Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ulysses Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Dantas in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Torres in the 69th minute of play forced Jaguas FC's goalkeeper Ulysses Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Aguiar during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Catalunha's Fred Torres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulysses Barral. That made the score 0-3 after 75 minutes of play. Juvenal Linhares made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adilson Guerra however managed to control. 84 minutes into the match, Jaguas FC's goalkeeper Ulysses Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Dantas. Ulysses Barral was a little too slow when Fred Torres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-4. The supporters of FC Catalunha booed when Jaguas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded FC Catalunha left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jaguas FC.
