Geléia FC's Ronaldo Nazario got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Nazario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio do Vale. Sem Esperança's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Nazario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Fernandes in the 16th minute of play. Geléia FC's Luís Paulo Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Geléia FC from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the game, Geléia FC's Remo Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cássio do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Julian Klæboe kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Sem Esperança getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Leopoldo Matorin hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes, Geléia FC's Jairo Nóbrega shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cássio do Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Geléia FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Fernandes in the 27th minute of play forced Sem Esperança's goalkeeper Cássio do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Matorin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sem Esperança fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Geléia FC a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jairo Nóbrega, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale. 0-4. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Nazario to strike the kick off in the second half. Cássio do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Sem Esperança's Geovânio Paiva got a free kick in the 76th minute. Cássio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazario in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Remo Moreno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cássio do Vale, 0-9. In the 82nd minute, Remo Moreno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. 85 minutes into the match, Geléia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Klæboe came free, but Luís Paulo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Geléia FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Frank Mattos hit a great ball. After 90 minutes of play, Geléia FC's Remo Moreno made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julian Klæboe struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Luís Paulo Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sem Esperança. 97 minutes into the match, Abelardo Fernandes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cássio do Vale, 0-12. Geléia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
