Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Túlio Alcântara to make the kick off. Túlio Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Percival Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Absalon Boegh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Valdo de Lara struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Absalon Boegh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville. Osvaldinho Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aramina's zone, Túlio Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Absalon Boegh came out of the goal and Túlio Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Messias's late challenge caught a Joinville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Messias helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Aramina's Absalon Boegh got control of the ball when Túlio Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Absalon Boegh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Fernando Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Absalon Boegh made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Túlio Alcântara sent off a good shot on target.
