Celio Campoo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabinho de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Guarulhos's Toninho de Salles got control of the ball when Eduardo Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iuri Amorim hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Aglauros Kokoris kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Celio Campoo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabinho de Mendonça in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celio Campoo saved Graminea from getting behind. Eduardo Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho de Salles having to interfere. A collision led to Graminea getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Humberto Vidal hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Fabinho de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celio Campoo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eduardo Porto came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Graminea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Porto couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guarulhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The supporters of Guarulhos booed when Graminea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Graminea's Léo Ceresso was substituted for Aglauros Kokoris. In the 68th minute, Aírton Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of Graminea booed when Guarulhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Porto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho de Salles was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Celio Campoo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benê Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Murillo Baiano from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Celio Campoo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Eduardo Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graminea's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarbas Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celio Campoo having to interfere. Toninho de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Porto's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Fabinho de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Graminea's Celio Campoo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guarulhos's Jarbas Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Graminea had played much better football throughout.
