Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FIM's Edmondo Mingione started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute João Francisco de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Montae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Hélder Lira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ubaldo Montae was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of FIM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CF Nascy United:s goal. CF Nascy Uniteds' Ubaldo Montae just managed to throw himself towards the right post in the 11thth minute after Tadeu Oliveiras penalty, and stop a certain goal. In the 12th minute, Edmondo Mingione made a precise shot to the right of Geovânio de Queiroz. CF Nascy United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 15th minute, Mário da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Zonta took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovânio de Queiroz. Geovânio de Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, João Francisco de Moraes took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Ubaldo Montae to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, FIM's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco de Moraes came free, but Ubaldo Montae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FIM getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Roberto Zonta hit a great ball. Ubaldo Montae made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Hélder Lira sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Julio Salinas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmondo Mingione struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Geovânio de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FIM. Geovânio de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmondo Mingione went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FIM's zone, Tadeu Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Montae came out of the goal and Tadeu Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Lira was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Julio Salinas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 53 in the game by Edmondo Mingione from a close distance when the talented Geovânio de Queiroz managed to make a qualified save. CF Nascy United's players were relieved. FIM were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after CF Nascy United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnaldo Rocha took the corner. After taking down the ball on FIM's corner Arnaldo Rocha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Geovânio de Queiroz quite easily take care of the ball. Hélder Lira took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Montae. Ubaldo Montae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After 61 played minutes Roberto Zonta rounded CF Nascy United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-4. Inge Östlund hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Tadeu Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ubaldo Montae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Roberto Zonta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Geovânio de Queiroz. That made the score 3-5 in the 72 minute of play. Geovânio de Queiroz was a little too slow when Edmondo Mingione got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 3-6. Ubaldo Montae came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by CF Nascy United's Hélder Lira. But to his dismay, Hélder Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-6. Hélder Lira scored 5-6 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ubaldo Montae, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuri Neiva during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FIM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Ubaldo Montae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Hélder Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ubaldo Montae was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-6. For all the effort they put into the match, the FIM players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CF Nascy United.
