Geovânio de Souza started the match with the kick off. 10 minutes into the match, CF Nascy United's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio de Souza came free, but Geovânio de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tauatu booed when CF Nascy United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Ernesto Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio de Queiroz. CF Nascy United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th minute of the match, Dráuzio Neves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geovânio de Queiroz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Messias in the 23rd minute of play forced Tauatu's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elói Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, CF Nascy United's goalkeeper Geovânio de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráuzio Neves. In the 34thth minute of the game Hélder Lira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tauatu's Pedro Paulo Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Tauatu's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Lira came free, but Pedro Paulo Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráuzio Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Geovânio de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio de Queiroz was a little too slow when Dráuzio Neves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Lira was the one to do the kick off. Geovânio de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio de Souza in the 52nd minute of the match. Daniel Simão hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Dráuzio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Hélder Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Tauatu getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Elói Cardozo hit a great ball. Agostinho Messias hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Geovânio de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Neves in the 68th minute of the match. Geovânio de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio de Queiroz having to interfere. Geovânio de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio de Souza in the 86th minute of play forced CF Nascy United's goalkeeper Geovânio de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, CF Nascy United's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio de Souza came free, but Geovânio de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Ernesto Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elói Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. CF Nascy United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
