In the 5th minute, Edmondo Mingione ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Guilherme Romero was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ubaldo Montae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sílvio Luiz Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FIM's protests and gave Sílvio Luiz Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes FIM got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Brodel. In the 16th minute Edmondo Mingione shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmondo Mingione got free with Luís Guilherme Romero in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deivid Donatello in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Montae saved FIM from getting behind. When NOTURNO's Deivid Donatello in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FIM's goalie prevented a goal. If Thomas Gustafsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31stth minute of the game Edmondo Mingione who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NOTURNO's Luís Guilherme Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 54th match minute, FIM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Östlund to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, NOTURNO's Delfim Galvão got a free kick in the 58th minute. Sílvio Luiz Brodel got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to FIM getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sílvio Luiz Brodel hit a great ball. During the 63rd minute of the match Delfim Galvão completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Delfim Galvão a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 64th minute, Delfim Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Julio Salinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NOTURNO's Luís Guilherme Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Zonta in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Donatello in the 71st minute of play forced FIM's goalkeeper Ubaldo Montae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deivid Donatello in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Montae saved FIM from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Deivid Donatello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ubaldo Montae. FIM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deivid Donatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The supporters of FIM booed when NOTURNO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in NOTURNO's zone, Julio Salinas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Romero came out of the goal and Julio Salinas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deivid Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FIM's Roberto Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Jefferson Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
