Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jânio Duarte started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Medeiros during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Válter Lago struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Cícero de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válter Lago in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cícero de Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jânio Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Corinthians's Luís Fernando Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cícero de Sousa. Cícero de Sousa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 32 minutes of play, Sheldon Cooper PHD's Jânio Duarte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucas Pitta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wágner Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Cícero de Sousa was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Luís Fernando Cardoso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Fernando Cardoso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 47th minute Ismael Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. If Luís Fernando Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cícero de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Fonseca in the 55th minute of play. In the 64th minute Jânio Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero de Sousa came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Luís Fernando Cardoso. But to his dismay, Luís Fernando Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 81 minutes into the match, Sheldon Cooper PHD's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Cardoso came free, but Cícero de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes, Luís Fernando Cardoso made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 85 minutes, Luís Fernando Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Corinthians fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Corinthians's Luís Fernando Cardoso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee ended the match the Corinthians players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
