After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Cristian Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ligeiro F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cícero de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cristian Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cícero de Sousa was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 7thth minute of the game Cristian Koehler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ligeiro F.C's Inácio Leite fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Inácio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Albertinho Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ligeiro F.C's Cristian Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Inácio Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ligeiro F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Leite in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Cristian Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Inácio Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Albertinho Rosa put in a rough tackle. In the 33rd minute, one of Sheldon Cooper PHD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sheldon Cooper PHD. In the 38th minute, Cristian Koehler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ligeiro F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Inácio Leite sped through Sheldon Cooper PHD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cícero de Sousa. Inácio Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Cícero de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Miranda made a kick off. Sheldon Cooper PHD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Inácio Leite scored to the left of an out of position Cícero de Sousa, making the score, 0-5. In the 57th minute Inácio Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inácio Leite had several of the Sheldon Cooper PHD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Cícero de Sousa as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Koehler got free with Cícero de Sousa in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Cristian Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristian Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Medeiros's late challenge caught a Ligeiro F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Inácio Leite made a precise shot to the right of Cícero de Sousa. Sheldon Cooper PHD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Inácio Leite had several of the Sheldon Cooper PHD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Cícero de Sousa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cristian Koehler in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cícero de Sousa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Ligeiro F.C fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Ligeiro F.C's Inácio Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sheldon Cooper PHD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adelino Ramalho was slow to take the kick. During this time Ligeiro F.C's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Leite in the 96th minute of play forced Sheldon Cooper PHD's goalkeeper Cícero de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute, Inácio Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ligeiro F.C played a much better game than Sheldon Cooper PHD and deserved their victory. The Sheldon Cooper PHD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
