With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olívio da Fonseca in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero de Sousa saved Sheldon Cooper PHD from getting behind. Olívio da Fonseca might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cícero de Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olívio da Fonseca ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Olívio da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cícero de Sousa was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Olívio da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Sousa having to interfere. Olívio da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Sousa having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Benjamin Sampaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Benjamin Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sheldon Cooper PHD's Ismael Ribeiro got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Sampaio in the 52nd minute of play forced Sheldon Cooper PHD's goalkeeper Cícero de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Cícero de Sousa managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when EB F.C's Benjamin Sampaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benjamin Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Sousa having to interfere. Jânio Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Benjamin Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olívio da Fonseca succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After 67 minutes, Dedé Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EB F.C and the Sheldon Cooper PHD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, EB F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Neto to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. EB F.C's Vito de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Duarte in the 70th minute of play. Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Sheldon Cooper PHD from getting a goal against them. Olívio da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cícero de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind EB F.C's goalkeeper Vito de Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Cícero de Sousa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 85 minutes into the game, EB F.C's Benjamin Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cícero de Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 92 minutes into the match, Benjamin Sampaio notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Sheldon Cooper PHD's Cícero de Sousa. Cícero de Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After recieving a nice pass, EB F.C's Carlos Eduardo Carioca tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. EB F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
