After a rather tough play, EB F.C's Dedé Neto got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Koehler in the 14th minute of play forced EB F.C's goalkeeper Vito de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, EB F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Koehler came free, but Vito de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, EB F.C's Olívio da Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeferson de Queirós. Jeferson de Queirós yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 23 minutes into the game, Ligeiro F.C's Adelino Ramalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vito de Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After some careless play in the EB F.C defense, Inácio Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vito de Sousa. The EB F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito de Sousa should have stopped the shot. Alexsandro Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jano Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Adelino Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Vito de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ligeiro F.C. Benjamin Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The Ligeiro F.C fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Ligeiro F.C's Inácio Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Inácio Leite kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vito de Sousa. That made the score 1-5 in the 59 minute of play. Inácio Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito de Sousa having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in EB F.C's zone, Inácio Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vito de Sousa came out of the goal and Inácio Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Leite in the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Koehler got free with Vito de Sousa in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90thth minute of the game Inácio Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EB F.C's Vito de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ligeiro F.C booed when EB F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Ligeiro F.C's Inácio Leite dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8.
