Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ligeiro F.C the free kick. The supporters of Ligeiro F.C booed when Palmitos Futebol Clube SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's Washington Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Paulista in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Ademir Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeferson de Queirós. Ademir Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Washington Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademir Costa got free with Jeferson de Queirós in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinícius Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson de Queirós having to interfere. Washington Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Paulista in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute, Ademir Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeferson de Queirós. The goal made the score 2-0. Caio Koehler hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Jeferson de Queirós was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ademir Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Washington Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Paulista in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Sandro Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ligeiro F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walmir Cunha was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's zone, Sandro Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Carneiro came out of the goal and Sandro Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ademir Costa notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Ligeiro F.C's Jeferson de Queirós. Jeferson de Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ademir Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. When Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's Vinícius Ferraz in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ligeiro F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Palmitos Futebol Clube SC booed when Ligeiro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes Ligeiro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Trancoso. After 64 played minutes Ligeiro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Amorim. Ligeiro F.C's Jeferson de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Costa in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Ademir Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson de Queirós came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's Ademir Costa. But to his dismay, Ademir Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ademir Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jeferson de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elói Barreto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Washington Carneiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Ligeiro F.C getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Adelino Ramalho hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademir Costa in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeferson de Queirós saved Ligeiro F.C from getting behind. Elói Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Carneiro having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Palmitos Futebol Clube SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
