The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jarbas Brodel might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Abbondanzieri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarbas Brodel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute Jarbas Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Jarbas Brodel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Toledense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 16 played minutes Jaguaré FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Caccia. Jaguaré FC's Matias Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Brodel in the 17th minute of play. Afonsinho Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Diniz in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Jaguaré FC booed when Sporting Toledense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Toledense's Afonsinho Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas de Alcântara in the 22nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thiago Diniz during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Jaguaré FC got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Diniz. Miguel Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betão Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sporting Toledense defense, Emanuele Caccia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Mineiro. The Sporting Toledense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Mineiro should have stopped the shot. Jarbas de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, one of Jaguaré FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jaguaré FC. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Sporting Toledense's Jarbas Brodel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Matias Abbondanzieri. Thiago Diniz was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 46th minute, Thiago Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After having played for 52 minutes, Emanuele Caccia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaguaré FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuele Caccia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuele Caccia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sporting Toledense's Afonsinho Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Toledense from getting a goal against them. Matias Abbondanzieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Domingues in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Jaguaré FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jarbas de Alcântara hit a great ball. When Sporting Toledense's Basílio Linhares in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Afonsinho Mineiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 82nd match minute, Sporting Toledense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Matias Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
