The referee ignored Sporting Toledense's protests and gave Basílio Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Curima got a freekick which was hit by Léo Quadros. If Miguel Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Dudu Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Dudu Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonsinho Mineiro. Sporting Toledense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dudu Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the match was over Curima could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting Toledense throughout the match.
