Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 16 minutes, Bernardinho Cardoso made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vasqueiro FC's Luís Paulista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Horácio Linhares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo das Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Cardoso got free with Luís Paulista in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26thth minute of the game Bernardinho Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasqueiro FC's Luís Paulista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Vasqueiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ediberto Linares came free, but Luís Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rezende FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Vasqueiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eduardo Prado took the corner. The corner ended in Eduardo Prado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vasqueiro FC's Luís Paulista did a great save. A hard shot 37 in the game by Bernardinho Cardoso from a close distance when the talented Luís Paulista managed to make a qualified save. Vasqueiro FC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Rezende FC's Adriano da Rocha got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Enio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horácio Linhares was the one to do the kick off. Luís Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59thth minute of the game Bernardinho Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasqueiro FC's Luís Paulista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Bernardinho Cardoso put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Paulista. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Bernardinho Cardoso sped through Vasqueiro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Paulista. Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rezende FC from getting a goal against them. The Rezende FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 74 minutes, Bernardinho Cardoso made it 9-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vasqueiro FC's Luís Paulista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute of the match, Horácio Linhares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reynaldo das Neves was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dorian Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Luís Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Cardoso in the 86th minute of play.
