The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Alberto Zonta during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rezende FC booed when Villa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Davi de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 15 in the game by Bernardinho Cardoso from a close distance when the talented Bruninho de Queirós managed to make a qualified save. Villa FC's players were relieved. After 18 minutes, Bernardinho Cardoso made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Villa FC's Bruninho de Queirós tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruninho de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Prado in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rezende FC's Adriano da Rocha got a free kick in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Bernardinho Cardoso sped through Villa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruninho de Queirós. After 30 played minutes Rezende FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonsinho Tasso. Bernardinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho de Queirós having to interfere. Bruninho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Sergipano in the 38th minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Rezende FC's Ediberto Linares in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa FC's goalie prevented a goal. Bruninho de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardinho Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Cardoso in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho de Queirós saved Villa FC from getting behind. Bernardinho Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adriano da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rezende FC's Lauro Vander was substituted for Manoel Montenegro. In the 59thth minute of the game Bernardinho Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa FC's Bruninho de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastião Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luan Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luan Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Villa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Cardoso in the 70th minute of play forced Villa FC's goalkeeper Bruninho de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Sebastião Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rezende FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruninho de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardinho Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Sergipano came free, but Bruninho de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bruninho de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernardinho Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Rezende FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Cardoso couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the game, Renan Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rezende FC the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Renan Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruninho de Queirós came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso. But to his dismay, Bernardinho Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Rezende FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
