A collision led to Rezende FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bernardinho Cardoso hit a great ball. Reynaldo das Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Torres in the 12th minute. Tiago Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Cardoso in the 14th minute of play. Manoel Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manoel Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo das Neves made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Danilo Torres sent off a good shot on target. Pindurao ADD's Tiago Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto Linares in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Sebastião Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves got control of the ball when Danilo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Baptista during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tiago Simões came out of the goal and Bernardinho Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 minutes of play, Rezende FC's Ediberto Linares made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 minutes, Ediberto Linares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rezende FC and the Pindurao ADD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rezende FC's Ediberto Linares got a free kick in the 37th minute. Ediberto Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves got control of the ball when Danilo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reynaldo das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Galvão in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Cardoso in the 87th minute of play forced Pindurao ADD's goalkeeper Tiago Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Ediberto Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pindurao ADD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rezende FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rezende FC.
