Romário de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 4th match minute, Vasqueiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. Luís Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Arce in the 6th minute of the match. Simão Salgado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, one of Nerazzurri:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Vasqueiro FC a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Murillo Lima, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nerazzurri's Amílton Sena. 0-1. Luís Paulista came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Nerazzurri's Romário de Salles. But to his dismay, Romário de Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 22nd minute, Vasqueiro FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romário de Salles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Romário de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luís Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Vasqueiro FC's Dorian Varela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amílton Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Romário de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Paulista was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Amílton Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Linhares in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romário de Salles to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Vasqueiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Siqueira. In the 64th minute of the match Vasqueiro FC got a corner. Nerazzurri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Murillo Lima ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Murillo Lima got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amílton Sena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luís Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário de Salles in the 75th minute of play. Nerazzurri's Romário de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romário de Salles struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Luís Paulista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nerazzurri.
