Reynaldo das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Arce in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Josué Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rezende FC and the Nerazzurri players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Rezende FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Castro. If Romário de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 played minutes Rezende FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano da Rocha. Afonsinho Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Sena having to interfere. Reynaldo das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Rosado in the 17th minute of play. Romário de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Reynaldo das Neves made a huge save. After 21 played minutes Nerazzurri got a freekick which was hit by Geovânio Mesquita. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Bernardinho Cardoso put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amílton Sena. Amílton Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Cardoso in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Bernardinho Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nerazzurri's Amílton Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovânio Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Eduardo Prado struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Amílton Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rezende FC. Michel Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo das Neves having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Nerazzurri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Rezende FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Romário de Salles made the kick off in the second half. When Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nerazzurri's goalie prevented a goal. Amílton Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Prado went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nerazzurri made a substitution. Matheus Botelho replaced Simão Salgado. With a little luck, Nerazzurri's Amílton Sena got control of the ball when Bernardinho Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ediberto Linares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Rezende FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bernardinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Sena having to interfere. Amílton Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Prado in the 88th minute of play. Sebastião Sergipano didn't quite understand what happened when in the 93 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Amílton Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th match minute, Nerazzurri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Lira to maneuver through the defense. Rezende FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
