Horácio Linhares came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Augusto Duarte could save by the left post. Patrick Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Zé Augusto Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Duarte made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Enio Veiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Augusto Duarte, 1-0. After 35 played minutes Vasqueiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Paranaense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horácio Linhares in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Duarte saved Ibuguacu from getting behind. Raúl Luz hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Zé Augusto Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Linhares in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Horácio Linhares made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horácio Linhares in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Duarte saved Ibuguacu from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ibuguacu's Erivaldo do Vale got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ibuguacu's zone, Murillo Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Augusto Duarte came out of the goal and Murillo Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ibuguacu booed when Vasqueiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Dorian Varela made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Duarte. Ibuguacu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ibuguacu's Zé Augusto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Linhares in the 73rd minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Horácio Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Zé Augusto Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88thth minute of the game Horácio Linhares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibuguacu's Zé Augusto Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Ibuguacu's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Linhares came free, but Zé Augusto Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasqueiro FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
