The audience was convinced that Henrique Pesquera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliézer Tavares was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Unidose II FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-9. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-9.

The wind increased when Celsinho Tande made the kick off in the second half. Eliézer Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Pesquera in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Miranda in the 59th minute of play forced Unidose II FC's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Aroeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Unidose II FC's Marcelo Diniz was substituted for João Arruda. Percival Pirani hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Eliézer Tavares made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Henrique Pesquera sent off a good shot on target. Aloísio Chulapa took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliézer Tavares. Eliézer Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-14. The Unidose II FC fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Unidose II FC's Aloísio Chulapa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-15 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 97 minutes into the game, Unidose II FC's Joel da Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliézer Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-16. Unidose II FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
