With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Guimarães in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer Tavares saved Aroeira AD from getting behind. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-3 when André Guimarães sped through Aroeira AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eliézer Tavares. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Guimarães in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliézer Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliézer Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. José Augusto Veloso took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliézer Tavares. Eliézer Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eliézer Tavares came out of the goal and André Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Augusto Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Eliézer Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Guimarãess short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Eliézer Tavares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. André Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eliézer Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Enrique Koehler fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eliézer Tavares, passed just outside the right post. Enrique Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Eliézer Tavares made a huge save. Eliézer Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Paris San Duíche's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
