Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Aroeira AD's Celsinho Tande started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aroeira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaicurus SC the free kick. After 35 played minutes Aroeira AD got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Arósio. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Pirani during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 minutes of play, Guaicurus SC's Víktor Leme made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliézer Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sixten Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Miranda in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Guaicurus SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Arce to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Víktor Leme was the one to do the kick off. Eliézer Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Arce in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd match minute, Aroeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Pirani to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Víktor Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliézer Tavares was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Jorginho Mirandas short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Sixten Isaksson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Aroeira AD booed when Guaicurus SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes Váldson Brodel shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Guaicurus SC's Sixten Isaksson to catch but Váldson Brodel was lucky. It became 1-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Eliézer Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Leme in the 90th minute of play. If Víktor Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aroeira AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
