The audience was convinced that Valdemar Pimenta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseu Recife was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Víktor Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseu Recife read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. If Víktor Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Pimenta in the 15th minute of play. When Valdemar Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Guaicurus SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Pimenta couldn't finish the play. Eliseu Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Eliseu Recife came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Guaicurus SC's Víktor Leme. But to his dismay, Víktor Leme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Guaicurus SC's Víktor Leme in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Terremoto FC's goalie prevented a goal. Terremoto FC's Eliseu Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Pimenta in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Víktor Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaicurus SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 played minutes Danilo Sousa rounded Guaicurus SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After some careless play in the Guaicurus SC defense, William Tepedino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sixten Isaksson. The Guaicurus SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixten Isaksson should have stopped the shot. Valdemar Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eliseu Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Guaicurus SC's Valdemar Pimenta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Recife made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. If Víktor Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danilo Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Guaicurus SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Víktor Leme hit a great ball. The free kick in the 52nd minute by Víktor Leme was well hit, but to his irritation, it went to the left of the post instead of in the goal. Danilo Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Isaksson having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Tião Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaicurus SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terremoto FC the free kick. A collision led to Guaicurus SC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tião Custódio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Terremoto FC's zone, Víktor Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Recife came out of the goal and Víktor Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdemar Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Valdemar Pimenta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eliseu Recife, 2-4. Víktor Leme in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eliseu Recife, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eliseu Recife made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Víktor Leme sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Valdemar Pimenta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eliseu Recife. That made the score 2-5 in the 79 minute of play. Valdemar Pimenta did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-6 to the left of a surprised Eliseu Recife 84 minutes into the match. The Guaicurus SC fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Guaicurus SC's Víktor Leme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Víktor Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Terremoto FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guaicurus SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
