The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Humberto Eger made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Paulo dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Marques in the 29th minute of play forced Jambradão Futebol e Rinha's goalkeeper Humberto Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Dracena hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Franklin Prestes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Eger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd play minute Paulo dos Santos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Humberto Eger. 1-0. Paulo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Eger having to interfere. Paulo dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Humberto Eger made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elano Pirani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Franklin Prestes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Paulão Marques didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Paulo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Eger having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Jambradão Futebol e Rinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Dante to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Brejal booed when Jambradão Futebol e Rinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brejal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Humberto Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Eger having to interfere. The supporters of Jambradão Futebol e Rinha booed when Brejal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball.
