Eliézer Tavares came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Brejal's Juan Sabóia. But to his dismay, Juan Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 38th minute Juan Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo dos Santos in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliézer Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Paulo dos Santos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliézer Tavares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 55 minutes into the match, Brejal's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Marques came free, but Paulão Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Juan Sabóia put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Eliézer Tavares. Jorginho Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Paulão Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percival Pirani hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Eliézer Tavares stood somewhat misplaced when Juan Sabóia came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 94 minute. Juan Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Tavares having to interfere. Brejal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
