Nando Moreira's late challenge caught a Perebas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Perebas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Penha should have stopped the shot. After having played for 29 minutes, Ivo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perebas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivo Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Inocencio Arce kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claudinho Gerber. That made the score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Jaraguary AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Carvalho came free, but Claudinho Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Claudinho Gerber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Jaraguary AD's zone, Osmar Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Gerber came out of the goal and Osmar Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute of the match Jeferson Severo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Willian Penha skillfully saved the ball.

Ivo Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Gerber having to make a save. Oswald Cobb kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Willian Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléberson Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57th play minutes Ivo Carvalho shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Claudinho Gerber and just under the crossbar into goal. Ivo Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Ivo Carvalho put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Claudinho Gerber. Perebas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inocencio Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Jaraguary AD booed when Perebas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Matheus Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute Geovanni Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
