The Aurora FC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Aurora FC's Rune Myr looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS's Júlio Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo Dracena in the 9th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rune Myr reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Júlio Seco. The goal made the score 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Myr got free with Júlio Seco in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Queiroz came free, but Júlio Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rune Myr kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júlio Seco. That made the score 5-0 in the 41 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Rune Myr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aurora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Myr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rune Myr was the one to do the kick off. Júlio Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS's Júlio Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Loureiro in the 53rd minute of play. Adilson das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 57 played minutes Aurora FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Dracena. After some careless play in the S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS defense, Luiz Gustavo Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Seco. The S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Seco should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Jacinto came free, but Júlio Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Seco came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Aurora FC's Rune Myr. But to his dismay, Rune Myr quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Adilson das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Proença in the 76th minute of play. Geovani Proença spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Aurora FC's goal. 79 minutes into the match, Rune Myr had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Seco. S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rune Myr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. 94 minutes into the match, S.E. CARDIA-PALMEIRAS's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Myr came free, but Júlio Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Aurora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Aurora FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
