Valdir Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Túlio Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Túlio Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvério Félix went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 9th minute, Lauro Peres made a precise shot to the right of Túlio Cruz. Torquimetro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Túlio Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17thth minute of the game Valdir Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torquimetro FC's Túlio Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Gustavo Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Arce having to interfere. Alex Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Luz in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Torquimetro FC's Jaime Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Arce. Alex Arce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Silvério Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torquimetro FC's Raimundo Luz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Alagoano during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Torquimetro FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jaime Alagoano hit a great ball. Alex Arce was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Luís Gustavo Negri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Gustavo Negri really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Alex Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Negri in the 51st minute of the match. With a little luck, Torquimetro FC's Túlio Cruz got control of the ball when Lauro Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdir Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Túlio Cruz made a huge save. Cansancao AD's Willian Chaves came free and shot a quick shot against goal 58 minutes in the game, fortunately Túlio Cruz had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 60th minute, Valdir Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Túlio Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Félix in the 65th minute of play forced Torquimetro FC's goalkeeper Túlio Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Valdir Godoi could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Túlio Cruz however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Torquimetro FC's Olavo Pena got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Willian Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cansancao AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Chaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Torquimetro FC's goalkeeper Túlio Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdir Godoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Alagoano in the 79th minute of play forced Cansancao AD's goalkeeper Alex Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes, Luís Gustavo Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torquimetro FC and the Cansancao AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Luís Gustavo Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Cruz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Willian Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cansancao AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Willian Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
