Baltazar Vargas charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltazar Vargas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cansancao AD booed when S.C Parnaibense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandão Hermes struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Alex Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C Parnaibense. 16 minutes into the match, Cansancao AD's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Araújo came free, but Alex Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on S.C Parnaibense's corner Paulo José Pena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alex Arce quite easily take care of the ball. Valdir Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Rubinho Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Valdir Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cansancao AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 minutes, Lauro Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cansancao AD and the S.C Parnaibense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lauro Peres hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Cansancao AD's Alex Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Araújo in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cansancao AD's Amílton Godoi got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Paulo José Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseu Gaspar's late challenge caught a Cansancao AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to S.C Parnaibense getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Eliseu Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 48th match minute, S.C Parnaibense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Alex Arce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 88 minutes, Fernandão Hermes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C Parnaibense and the Cansancao AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Willian Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdir Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Rubinho Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cansancao AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of S.C Parnaibense for a fine match.
