Bigorna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murillo Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Bigorna fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Bigorna's Gláuber do Valle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Murillo Messias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaldo Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Munhoz in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Fred Munhoz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Bigorna's Arnaldo Valladares. Arnaldo Valladares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Taquary's Tião Sanches in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bigorna's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Taquary:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bigorna:s goal. Gláuber do Valle struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Geovanni Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bigorna. Arnaldo Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Munhoz in the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gláuber do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bigorna's supporters rose to their feet, but Gláuber do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovanni Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Munhoz in the 82nd minute of the match. Murillo Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Murillo Messias fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bigorna's protests and gave Murillo Messias a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Bigorna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Messias to maneuver through the defense.
