Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dalmo Godoi kicked off to start the match. Bernardo Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Alves in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Smashing PumpkinS booed when Mandaguari SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Monteiro in the 7th minute of play. Mandaguari SC were furious when Zé da Cunha was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mandaguari SC! Raphael Bueno might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráusio de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raphael Bueno ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiaguinho Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráusio de Queirós having to make a save. After 16 played minutes Mandaguari SC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Pirani. Tiaguinho Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dráusio de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiaguinho Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio de Queirós having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Luís Paulo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smashing PumpkinS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paulo Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Válbson Alves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luís Paulo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bernardo Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Luís Paulo Fonseca sped through Mandaguari SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardo Montenegro. 36 minutes into the match, Adriano Monteiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Montenegro, 3-0. 39 minutes into the match, Smashing PumpkinS's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Almeida came free, but Dráusio de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Válbson Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Godoi hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Tiaguinho Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Adriano Monteiro made the kick off in the second half. Donato Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Adriano Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Smashing PumpkinS's goalkeeper Dráusio de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiaguinho Almeida. Luís Paulo Fonseca took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Montenegro. Bernardo Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Tiaguinho Almeida's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dráusio de Queirós firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Monteiro in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 minutes, Nuno de Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mandaguari SC and the Smashing PumpkinS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Tiaguinho Almeida reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dráusio de Queirós. The goal made the score 5-1. The supporters of Smashing PumpkinS booed when Mandaguari SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válbson Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Montenegro having to interfere. Tiaguinho Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válbson Alves struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Bernardo Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smashing PumpkinS. There was no doubt that Smashing PumpkinS were the better team. Smashing PumpkinS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
