Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Celso Rosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Paratiji getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ronaldo Sergipano hit a great ball. In the 4th minute, Ronaldo Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Vinhas in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Guatapara's José Paulo Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcinho Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Massa in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute Celso Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Luís dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Hortêncio Rezende sent off a good shot on target. Hortêncio Rezende came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and André Luís dos Santos could save by the left post. In the 18th minute Edson Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Massa in the 19th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, Guatapara's José Paulo Moreira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcinho Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Paratiji booed when Guatapara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Guatapara's Arthur Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcinho Motta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 37 played minutes Guatapara got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Vinhas. Hortêncio Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but André Luís dos Santos made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Ademar de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Marcinho Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Paulo Moreira made a kick off. A collision led to Paratiji getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ademar de Sousa hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the match, Paratiji's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Peres came free, but Marcinho Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guatapara's André Luís dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Rezende in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Moreira in the 59th minute of play forced Paratiji's goalkeeper Marcinho Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ronaldo Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paratiji's protests and gave Ronaldo Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldo Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, José Paulo Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Massa in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Fernando Peres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcinho Motta. That made the score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. Remo Guimarães hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Rezende had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Luís dos Santos. Guatapara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Rezende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Marcinho Motta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Celso Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. André Luís dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís dos Santos came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Paratiji's Celso Rosa. But to his dismay, Celso Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Marcinho Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Paratiji defense, Arthur Massa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcinho Motta. The Paratiji fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcinho Motta should have stopped the shot. Marcinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Massa in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Arthur Massa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcinho Motta. The goal made the score 2-5. Guatapara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
