Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Celso Rosa kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Tião Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Fred Munhoz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Paratiji's Marcinho Motta. Marcinho Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eduardo Cabral's late challenge caught a Paratiji's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. Eduardo Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Taquary's goalkeeper Geovanni Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Rezende. The crowd rose to their feet as Paratiji's Vivaldo Travassos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Geovanni Neto. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. After 16 minutes of play, Paratiji's Hortêncio Rezende made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanni Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd minute Fred Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanni Neto made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Hortêncio Rezende sent off a good shot on target. With 28 minutes on the clock, Ronaldo Sergipano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Paratiji:s Marcinho Motta showed great skill when he stopped Vânderson Santana:s penalty. 2-2 came in the 30th minute when Vânderson Santana all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Marcinho Motta. Marcinho Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Hortêncio Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paratiji's Marcinho Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Cabral in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Tião Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes of play, Taquary's Tião Sanches made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcinho Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Paratiji players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Taquary were winning 2-3.

After 57 minutes, Hortêncio Rezende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paratiji and the Taquary players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paratiji! Vânderson Santana shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Marcinho Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Sanches got free with Marcinho Motta in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcinho Motta was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Fred Munhoz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fred Munhoz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Sanches got free with Marcinho Motta in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Quintal in the 71st minute of play forced Taquary's goalkeeper Geovanni Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Motta having to interfere. When Celso Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Paratiji fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Rosa couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Taquary's Tião Sanches got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Wesley Quintal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovanni Neto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Sanches got free with Marcinho Motta in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Paratiji supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Taquary's performance. The match ended with a win for Taquary.
