Guirapa SC's Gabriel Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Silveira in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jabota's zone, Jarbas Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Ribeiro came out of the goal and Jarbas Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarbas Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Guirapa SC's Gabriel Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Guirapa SC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Proença in the 26th minute of play forced Jabota's goalkeeper Sydney Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Guirapa SC's Gabriel Quadros got control of the ball when Valdir Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Basílio Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guirapa SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Breno Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gabriel Quadros. The goal made the score 2-1. 36 minutes into the match, Valdir Falcão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gabriel Quadros, 3-1. Ramón Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sydney Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marcelo de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jabota's protests and gave Marcelo de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breno Silveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Jarbas Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Ribeiro having to interfere. Sydney Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Vieira in the 53rd minute of the match. Sydney Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Jarbas Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. If Basílio Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Jarbas Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Jabota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Jarbas Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Basílio Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guirapa SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jabota could leave the field as winners, despite Guirapa SC having more of the ball for most of the match.
