Walmir Reis was a little too slow when Betinho Capixaba got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Walmir Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Dependiente del Alcool booed when Fortaleza Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Zago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Zé Augusto Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, 方镇骋 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dependiente del Alcool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortaleza Esporte Clube the free kick. In the 15th minute, one of Dependiente del Alcool:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dependiente del Alcool. The referee gave Fortaleza Esporte Clube a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Remo Linhares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dependiente del Alcool's Pedrinho Mangueira. 1-1. 莫轩坚 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Walmir Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betinho Capixaba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Walmir Reis came out and tried to block the shot, but Betinho Capixaba slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 32nd minute. Walmir Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Walmir Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Augusto Mattos in the 37th minute. Betinho Capixaba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmir Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Betinho Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Reis came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Dependiente del Alcool's 莫轩坚. But to his dismay, 莫轩坚 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betinho Capixaba in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmir Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Rui Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmir Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Ramos in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, William Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Fortaleza Esporte Clube's Maurício Sarmento got a free kick in the 58th minute. 莫轩坚 took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmir Reis. Walmir Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. After some careless play in the Fortaleza Esporte Clube defense, Betinho Capixaba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walmir Reis. The Fortaleza Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmir Reis should have stopped the shot. Cássio Zago got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Betinho Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dependiente del Alcool's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betinho Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Reis having to interfere. Walmir Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, Dependiente del Alcool's Pedro Ramos made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zé Augusto Mattos scored 9-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmir Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walmir Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Capixaba in the 88th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Fortaleza Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when 莫轩坚 came free, but Walmir Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmir Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 莫轩坚 in the 95th minute of play. Dependiente del Alcool's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
