Silvinho de Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilmar Corrêa hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Duarte in the 16th minute of play forced Sorriso Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Silvinho de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wellington Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovanni Marques hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The Sambô Laion FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Sambô Laion FC's Gilmar Corrêa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Twan Schmidt during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Wellington Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvinho de Toledo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Sambô Laion FC's Wellington Duarte. But to his dismay, Wellington Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After the first half Sambô Laion FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sorriso Esporte Clube's Silvinho de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Sorriso Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sorriso Esporte Clube's Luiz Eduardo Baptista got a free kick in the 83rd minute.
