When Frecheira EC's José Maria Breckenfeld in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Banda AD's goalie prevented a goal. In the 10th minute, Elano Fontes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zé Augusto do Nascimento. The goal made the score 1-0. Elano Fontes struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Zé Augusto do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frecheira EC. Zé Augusto do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elano Fontes in the 15th minute. In the 19th match minute, Banda AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Severo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Frecheira EC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Eliézer Lira hit a great ball. After 27 minutes of play, Frecheira EC's Elano Fontes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Augusto do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute, Dorian Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Banda AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Toscano came free, but Zé Augusto do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Bañados got free with Zé Augusto do Nascimento in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Banda AD getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dorian Costa hit a great ball. Frecheira EC's José Maria Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Banda AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Severo to maneuver through the defense. Amado Bañados came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Augusto do Nascimento could save by the left post. The Frecheira EC fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Frecheira EC's Elano Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elano Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Zé Augusto do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Breckenfeld was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Breckenfeld in the 52nd minute of play forced Banda AD's goalkeeper Zé Augusto do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Banda AD's Zé Augusto do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Bañados in the 54th minute of play. Zé Augusto do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Breckenfeld in the 55th minute of the match. Oscar-Alfredo van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Severo in the 56th minute. A nice corner shot did that Wilian Toledo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oscar-Alfredo van der Sar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zé Augusto do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dorival Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frecheira EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amado Bañados took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Augusto do Nascimento. Zé Augusto do Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 72nd minute Elano Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Banda AD's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Breckenfeld came free, but Zé Augusto do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Celsinho Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the referee ended the match the Frecheira EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
