A collision led to Mafia FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Telmo Brito hit a great ball. Cipriano Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Mário Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Váldson França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Moraes in the 43rd minute of play forced Mafia FC's goalkeeper Váldson França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Mafia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Inácio de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Inácio de Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. Brillouin F.C.'s Fabrício Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Mafia FC's Váldson França got control of the ball when Anísio Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isaltino Catarinense came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mafia FC's Mário Domingues. But to his dismay, Mário Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. João Pedro Barral's late challenge caught a Brillouin F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Pedro Barral helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Moraes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Brillouin F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Váldson França managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Brillouin F.C.'s Inácio de Medeiros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mafia FC's goalie and right to Marcel Santos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mafia FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Váldson França made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Inácio de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute of the match José Cruz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Váldson França showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Váldson França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio de Medeiros in the 80th minute of play. Luís Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson França was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Fabrício Melo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabrício Melo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The Mafia FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brillouin F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
