Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dida Veloso kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubens Magalhães in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio de Moraes saved Tacaia SC from getting behind. Elói Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Hortêncio de Moraes managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Phoenix FC's Afonso Couto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Afonso Couto came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hortêncio de Moraes could save by the left post. In the 13th minute Wanderson Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Tacaia SC's goalkeeper Hortêncio de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amauri Marques. In the 18th minute Rubens Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dida Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Couto in the 28th minute. Rony Paranaense took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvério Furtado. Silvério Furtado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st match minute, Phoenix FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Rosado to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Jardel de Queirós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hortêncio de Moraes, 1-1. Hortêncio de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Couto in the 40th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Valdir Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacaia SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hortêncio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Magalhães in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubens Magalhães to make the kick off. Rony Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Silvério Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Couto in the 55th minute of play forced Tacaia SC's goalkeeper Hortêncio de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Rubens Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Porto's late challenge caught a Phoenix FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdir Porto helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Tacaia SC got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Porto. In the 58th minute of the match Eusébio Trevisan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hortêncio de Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Tacaia SC's Dida Veloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvério Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Hortêncio de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Amauri Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio de Moraes. Tacaia SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amauri Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Hortêncio de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Couto in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th minute Afonso Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phoenix FC's Amauri Marques pulled a muscle in his back after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Rony Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacaia SC's protests and gave Rony Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Tacaia SC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Paranaense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dida Veloso in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvério Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute, Rony Paranaense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jardel de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Tacaia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Couto came free, but Hortêncio de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvério Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Terra in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Phoenix FC's Silvério Furtado got control of the ball when Dida Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hortêncio de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hortêncio de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. The Tacaia SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Phoenix FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
