In the 17th minute, Mário Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cafu Couto kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 25thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Mafia FC's keeper Váldson França was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Váldson França successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 31 minutes of play Mafia FC's Mário Domingues was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SC CORINGÃO booed when Mafia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cafu Couto was the one to do the kick off. Cafu Couto took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Váldson França. Váldson França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Reynaldo Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mafia FC's Francisco Amorim got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Cafu Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson França having to interfere. Reynaldo Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Couto in the 76th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match Emerson Varela shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Váldson França showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Mafia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Couto came free, but Váldson França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Cafu Couto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC CORINGÃO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Mafia FC's Oséas de Barros got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Cafu Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the SC CORINGÃO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
