Silvério Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubens Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvério Furtado was a little too slow when Dênis Pernambucano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 54th minute, Joel Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moisés Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Eusébio Trevisan, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Joel Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Afonso Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dênis Pernambucano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Silvério Furtado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Phoenix FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Fernando Rocha hit a great ball. Dênis Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 77 minutes of play Phoenix FC's Jardel de Queirós was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 78 played minutes Phoenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Jardel de Queirós. Horácio Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Silvério Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Valladares hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Danilo Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Phoenix FC's Afonso Couto managed to work through Fantasialunatica's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Afonso Couto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 87 played minutes Phoenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Couto. After a rather tough play, Phoenix FC's Afonso Couto got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Phoenix FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Fernando Rocha hit a great ball. Zé Augusto Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvério Furtado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Fantasialunatica's Dênis Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Sidney Peres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvério Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Fantasialunatica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Phoenix FC.
