Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Enio Prestes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, IPANEMA FC's Bruno Leal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Elliot Lind came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paulão Fontes could save by the left post. Soberano FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Cristián Montes scored to the left of an out of position Paulão Fontes, making the score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristián Montes in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulão Fontes saved Soberano FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristián Montes in the 38th minute of play forced Soberano FC's goalkeeper Paulão Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Fontes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by IPANEMA FC's Elliot Lind. But to his dismay, Elliot Lind quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, IPANEMA FC's Pedro Augusto de Toledo got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Elliot Lind made the kick off in the second half. Elliot Lind recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 52nd play minutes Cristián Montes shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Paulão Fontes and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 56th minute Elliot Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elliot Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Paulão Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Cristián Montes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Paulão Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute, Erasmo Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, IPANEMA FC's goalkeeper Henrique França had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enio Prestes. After having played for 80 minutes, Cristián Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IPANEMA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristián Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Soberano FC booed when IPANEMA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex da Costa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henrique França. IPANEMA FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Damian Hoppe's late challenge caught a Soberano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Hoppe helped the player get up and apologised. 85 minutes into the match, Soberano FC's Alex da Costa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 90 minutes of play, IPANEMA FC's Elliot Lind made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulão Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the match, Soberano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Lind came free, but Paulão Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soberano FC's goalkeeper Paulão Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
