Jefferson Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Alberto Kempes in the 9th minute of the match. Horácio Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Warriors Máfia got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Turacki. Durval da Costa made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Dudu Rossi sent off a good shot on target. Jefferson Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Alberto Kempes in the 25th minute of play. Jefferson Paulista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucjan Turacki went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 29 minutes, Gilles Michiels made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Fantasialunatica's Jefferson Paulista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mario Alberto Kempes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Paulista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucjan Turacki went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Fantasialunatica's Jefferson Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Prestes in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Warriors Máfia's Mario Alberto Kempes got a free kick in the 40th minute. Fantasialunatica's Zé Augusto Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Joel Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Sidney Viana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Paulista skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dênis Pernambucano was the one to do the kick off. Jefferson Paulista was a little too slow when Mario Alberto Kempes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Alves in the 58th minute of play forced Fantasialunatica's goalkeeper Jefferson Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jefferson Paulista came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Warriors Máfia's Mario Alberto Kempes. But to his dismay, Mario Alberto Kempes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Warriors Máfia's Gilles Michiels got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fantasialunatica's Jefferson Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Turacki in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th play minute Mario Alberto Kempes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jefferson Paulista. 0-7. Warriors Máfia's Antônio Carlos Moura was substituted for Válbson Mendes. 73 minutes into the match, Fantasialunatica's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Alberto Kempes came free, but Jefferson Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Otsoko Amurrio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson Paulista was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Jefferson Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Alberto Kempes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, Fantasialunatica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Valladares to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Gilles Michiels took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Jefferson Paulista to make any attempt to save it. Jefferson Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Alberto Kempes in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute Mario Alberto Kempes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jefferson Paulista was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Mario Alberto Kempes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
