With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulão Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 4th minute, Edson Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulão Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Borromeo in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Fortunato Borromeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Leopoldo Moura sped through Soberano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulão Fontes. Soberano FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Fortunato Borromeo scored to the left of an out of position Paulão Fontes, making the score, 2-0. Leopoldo Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Paulão Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Fontes was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Leopoldo Moura capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopoldo Moura really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Soberano FC's Paulão Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Borromeo in the 24th minute of play. Paulão Fontes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fortunato Borromeo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 30 minute of play. Paulão Fontes stood somewhat misplaced when Leopoldo Moura came free in front of goal and shot 6-0 to the left of him in the 33 minute. 35 minutes into the game, Borussia Steel F.C's Leopoldo Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulão Fontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The audience was convinced that Fortunato Borromeo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulão Fontes was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After having played for 41 minutes, Fortunato Borromeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egídio Trigo's late challenge caught a Borussia Steel F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egídio Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. Leopoldo Moura in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulão Fontes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 47th minute, Guto Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fortunato Borromeo was the one to do the kick off. Borussia Steel F.C's Leopoldo Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Moura in the 56th minute of play forced Soberano FC's goalkeeper Paulão Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fortunato Borromeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Paulão Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Guto Mandrak got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Soberano FC. 88 minutes into the match, Soberano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Borromeo came free, but Paulão Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
