Váldson França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristián Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Francisco Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Váldson França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristián Montes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristián Montes took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Váldson França. Váldson França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Mafia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristián Montes came free, but Váldson França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Elliot Lind who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mafia FC's Váldson França was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Elliot Lind sped through Mafia FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Váldson França. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Elliot Lind managed to get in a good position for a shot. IPANEMA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliot Lind was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Váldson França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elliot Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mafia FC's goalkeeper Váldson França, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half IPANEMA FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elliot Lind to strike the kick off in the second half. Délio Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Elliot Lind managed to get in a good position for a shot. IPANEMA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliot Lind was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Váldson França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Váldson França was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Cristián Montes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristián Montes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Elliot Linds short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Váldson França to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Mafia FC defense, Hudson Custódio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Váldson França. The Mafia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson França should have stopped the shot. When Mário Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mafia FC's protests and gave Mário Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Mafia FC got a freekick which was hit by Mário Domingues. Váldson França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristián Montes in the 74th minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Cristián Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mafia FC's Váldson França was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Váldson França managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when IPANEMA FC's Elliot Lind fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elliot Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Elliot Lind's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Váldson França was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruno Leal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Váldson França. That made the score 0-5 in the 91 minute of play. IPANEMA FC played a much better game than Mafia FC and deserved their victory. The Mafia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
