Edu Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes, Percy Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciza EC and the Tigres SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tigres SC's Natã Pirani was substituted for Enio Pitta. In the 18th minute, Percy Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ciza EC defense, Célio Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisão Carvalho. The Ciza EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisão Carvalho should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute, Chiquinho Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Chiquinho Mazza notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tigres SC's Andrézinho Melo. Andrézinho Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciza EC's Luisão Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Cardoso in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Ciza EC booed when Tigres SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Dagoberto Pontes made the kick off in the second half. Luisão Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Tigres SC's Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Claudinho Braga came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Tigres SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Braga couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Tigres SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Pontes came free, but Andrézinho Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Natã Pirani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Luisão Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, Tigres SC's Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisão Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrézinho Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Carvalho having to interfere. Natã Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Luisão Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Matildo Cambuquira in the 87th minute of play forced Ciza EC's goalkeeper Luisão Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Mazza's late challenge caught a Tigres SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiquinho Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tigres SC booed when Ciza EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the referee ended the match the Tigres SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
