Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernandinho Luz took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fernandinho Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Lopes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Durvalino Bittencourt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Durvalino Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Luz's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 15th play minutes Fernandinho Luz shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Durvalino Bittencourt and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Salles in the 24th minute of play forced Carmelopolis's goalkeeper Betinho Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponte Mirim's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Luz came free, but Durvalino Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.D. Ponte Mirim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Fernandinho Luz scored to the left of an out of position Durvalino Bittencourt, making the score, 4-0. The wind increased when Genílson Baptista made the kick off in the second half. When Naldo Macedo fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmelopolis's protests and gave Naldo Macedo a yellow card for diving instead. 54 minutes into the match, Cléber Goiano notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Carmelopolis's Betinho Rezende. Betinho Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Durvalino Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Lopes in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Dário Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, A.D. Ponte Mirim's Emerson Sergipano got a free kick in the 65th minute. Durvalino Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Macedo in the 69th minute of the match. After 76 minutes of play, A.D. Ponte Mirim's Anselmo Salles made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Betinho Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! Betinho Rezende was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emerson Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-3 in the 79 minute of play. The Carmelopolis fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Carmelopolis's Wellington França looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Dário Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Durvalino Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Dário Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Durvalino Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.D. Ponte Mirim's Genílson Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
